Consultancy Advisory Board

The faculty members of the Department of Metallurgical and Materials Engineering offer consultancy services to many industries within the country and abroad. Depending on the nature of the problem, the modes of interaction can be Institutional Consultancy, retainer consultancy or research-based industrialÂ projects.

The Department's Industry Advisory Board (IAB) is an invited group of prominent academicians and business excecutives who advise the institute on academic and research issues as well as strategic planning. The Industry Advisory Board serves as a venue for the discussion and formulation of suggestions.

The industry advisory board can be utilised to gather ideas and resources to improve the department's numerous technology programmes. The industry advisory board provide important insights on curriculum reform, career opportunity for students, future research avenues, applied research opportunities, determining the need for a new programme, and serving as an external advocate to the administration.
